APHR on ACSF/APF 2024

Dili, 19 September 2024 – ASEAN Parliamentarians for Human Rights and FORUM-ASIA held a session titled “Weakening of Democracy in Southeast Asia: The Use of Lawfare to Undermine Civic Space and Institutions”, the discussion is a part of the ASEAN Civil Society Conference/ASEAN People’s Forum (ACSC/APF) 2024.
During the session, the speakers discussed about the legal systems that are being used by the governments across the region to silence opposition, suppress civil society, and stifle any dissenting voices.
